I can't wear this? I don't want to anyways

Abercombie and Fitch is one of the most known brands throughout the world, thanks to it's fashion sense, but mostly since everyone seems to be wearing it. The first time I heard about the issue of CEO Michael Jeffries comment about having the company not making plus sizes available, I laughed and thought it was just a joke someone made since it is something no one should ever say. But then, it is apparently true and when I found out that it was, I was furious, I still am actually. The fact that Jeffries' is only targeting the "cool kids" is honestly disrespectful. It's not like our generation is full of bullies and stereotypes
that causes self esteem problems, he has to add into it which doesn't give him the right to. He is honestly just a big bully in our society.

It isn't fair first of all that he is limiting his clothes to the "thin" people, or the "cool" ones. Who is he to state whether or not you are beautiful or you are a cool person? And when in the world has a size 10 became a plus size? It is very disappointing knowing how in this generation a normal size has become too big.

What type of body you have or the type of clothes you wear shouldn't really immediately categorize you as a "cool kid". Our generations views of beauty have downgraded and it is very upsetting since it causes a lot of us to achieve this level of perfection that isn't really necessary. We are all beautiful human beings and there shouldn't be categories that limit us to feel beautiful. This whole statement is just wrong since it probably caused some people's self esteem to lower down.

Our world is full of different shapes, sizes, colours, races etc. With these differences, it makes us an amazingly diverse world to live in and it sucks knowing that people decide to pick one out of so many to categorize as beautiful. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and no one should ever have the right for them not to feel this way.

Twitter is a great way of communicating thanks to it's popularity and it's way of giving news. But when it comes to trying to get the youth involved in the Church, I think it's a waste of time. Teenagers may look at the Popes twitter account and find it funny how he even has one. It is something very unexpected for the leader of the Church to have one and people may find it as a joke, causing people to not take the religion seriously. I understand that the Church wants the youth to be more involved, and it may have worked for other teens my age since in his tweets you can learn new things and it has a level of communication with someone so high up you wouldn't really expect it, but there are probably other ways to get more youth involved. There is a lot of disadvantages about having the Pope have twitter and one would be how people will think it's just a joke, another would be that people will make fun of it. The internet is full of humorous people, and sometimes the humour that they give is very offensive and with the fact that the Church is on social networking websites, they will aim at them and it will just cause a storm of hate and arguments. My parish has also tried to be part of the social media world by making twitter accounts to give new information about events, and even Facebook groups to keep everyone up to date about what is going around our neighbourhood. Some other ways to have the youth get involved would be to create youth groups where kids their age can just talk and hangout. My parish has a youth group and I think it's very successful since there are quite a lot of people and they enjoy spending time together since they do many different activities. The Popes twitter is very interesting, and I follow him myself, but I do not agree with having him have one since people will probably just laugh about the thought.

Is It Safe?

In this generation, the most popular way of communicating would be through social networking websites. We get to communicate with people across the world, and even get to meet new ones through them. I am one of those many people who have a social networking account. The main reason is because I enjoy being on them since this is a new way of talking to people and knowing what is going around with the world around me. These websites are very enjoyable to be apart of since it is kind of like a community full of people you get to communicate with. Although I do enjoy being on these websites, I am very cautious with what I post on them. Even though on my accounts only my friends can see information, I try my best to not include anything too personal for the internet.

Every time I post anything I am always thinking whether or not what I am posting is safe enough to be posted on the internet. The things that are very unsafe to post would be your telephone number or your address since you never know someone may end up on your doorstep. The things that are safe would probably be just opinions and thoughts that don't include you getting in trouble or when they don't affect the people around you.

We can do so much to be safe online just like keeping your information private and be cautious of who your friends are. Basically don't post anything personal on the internet since you never know who can peek into your account. There are a lot of computer hackers in our world today and they have the ability of exposing you thanks to whatever you post on the internet. So we should always be mindful of the people that are getting to see the information you have on the internet since they have the power of controlling or ruining your life if you make the wrong move.

Twitter Trouble

Twitter is one of the most popular social media websites across the world at the moment. Inside this website we get to see what people are thinking, or what they want to share for their followers. Twitter
is used for various reasons, sometimes for good, like organizations, sometimes just for the fun of it and sadly some people abuse the power of free speech on this website by tweeting inappropriate things. In the case of the suspended students from Brampton, this is categorized as inappropriate. I do understand how they think it was unfair for them to get suspended since this was their personal space, although, the words that was said was just plain rude and mean. They may have thought that it was fine since they thought that the teacher wouldn't see, but either way, what the girl said was very hurtful and they should not expose the teacher like that on a website where a lot of people can see it.

These students were probably outraged about something that the teacher has done to them and they vented their anger on twitter, but this still shouldn't be a reason to share on a social media websites such as twitter. I have seen a few harsh words on twitter about teachers, and I have always thought that it was okay or it was just a joke but now as I look back, it is very inappropriate and it is cyber bullying even with teachers. These students believe that expressing an opinion, such as harsh as this, they can get away with it but with the new laws they can't.

The punishment of the students was very reasonable seeing how what they said is inappropriate. They need to learn their lesson, even in this way, to see that what they have done was wrong. They probably thought that they would get away with it, with this punishment they could see that they are not in power when it comes to these things. Even though some did not learn their lesson, it is still an action that needs to be done. It would have been wrong for the board to not do anything about something that is very wrong.

All in all, posting inappropriate things in general should not happen on social media sites, seeing how this is cyber bullying and this can affect people in a very hard way.

Paparazzi: Scandalous?

Being a paparazzi is someone who exploits celebrities or anyone famous to try and get money from it. This is apparently an actual occupation, but in my opinion it's one of the most disgusting ones out there. The fact that these people get money out of invading someone's privacy and exposing it to the world is just unbelievable. At some points paparazzi go too far by creating inappropriate scandals and even risking the lives of the poor people. One of the most targeted and have the biggest issues with the paparazzi would be the pop singer Justin Bieber. He has recently got into fights with paparazzi's who constantly mock him and go too far when it comes to taking pictures of him.
In this video we see one of many incidents where he encountered a problem with paparazzi. It truly upsets me how people think it is okay to keep on invading someones space. I am a fan of Justin Bieber, but I promise you I am not taking his side because of that. I am taking his side because no one should ever be treated in a way where just because you are living the high life you can be followed around, swarmed by flashing lights and have someone risk your life because of one lousy picture. It's truly upsetting whenever someone goes: "Celebrities shouldn't complain about the paparazzi since being famous comes with the price of having people up your tail! They should just get over it!" People have the right to live their lives safe and have actual privacy. It is also very annoying how they think it is okay for famous people to go through this.No one should have to contemplate whether or not they should go outside just so they won't get swarmed. Imagine having to go outside and having people hide behind your bushes, taking a picture with every step you make. It may be glamorous, but it will become annoying as well.  I myself would rather not want to go through that. People really need to understand that having to go through the flashes of the camera shouldn't be part of the job description whenever you decide to be famous.

People need to respect one another, if the paparazzi want the respect and not be classified as sleazy, then they should gain that respect. It's not like everyone hates them enough for taking pictures of someone else and posting it on the internet, might as well be polite when you interact with them and not having to be a very mean person (which are sadly mostly the characteristics of most paparazzi)

All in all, I find myself having a tremendous amount of negative feelings towards paparazzi and I think that their job is just plain wrong since privacy is very much needed in someones life and they need to understand that.

iPhone Crazy ... or Not?

The Evolution of the iPhone
Over the years, Apple products have been very popular and known throughout the world. The main reason why it is popular is because of the new features it gives every year. I'm the type of person who is fascinated by how the technology works and how amazing it is. So it's pretty obvious that I am also the type that wants/needs the newest product. I have an Apple product, although they start to release news ones that seem to be 100x better as the one I have now, who wouldn't want to have it? The only thing that's stopping me is the money since these new electronics cost loads. If someone says they don't want to have the new version, I just think they're just lying. The translation to that would be: "I don't want to spend money on that, even though it's better than the one I have now." All these gadgets aren't just for entertainment, but also for your work. With the new soft wares and new updates, each one can actually help you in your daily life. You got to admit though, electronics makes our life 10x easier.

Holograms 5-10 years from now?
Knowing that there is a bank full of new Apple products excites me. We honestly could never expect anything, it is all a surprise. I bet 30 years ago no one would ever thought touch screens would ever happen. So who knows what the inside of the bank holds. Maybe it's the same thing, but just a bit wider and thinner OR will there be holograms in which you won't even need to touch your phone or even better, you can use your phone to teleport anywhere. (That might sound crazy now but wait 20 or 30 years)  It is honestly so amazing how technology evolved through out the years. Before we know it there will be flying cars and robots as our servants. I am so excited to see what the future would be, and hopefully it would be good.
